What is Stucco?
It is an attractive, durable, and weather-resistant wall covering. This wall covering is made from a mixture of lime, water, and Cement. The mixture can be applied over brick, concrete block, stone, shear walls, or over plywood substrates using wire lath.
Traditionally, it is applied in three coats. You have the first coat, which is called the scratch coat, the second coat called the brown coat, and the third coat called the finish coast. The two base coats can either be applied by hand or can be machine sprayed. The last coat, finish coat, can be hand toweled and we like to make it smooth, but if our client requests a specific texture, we can do that as well. It can also be sprayed for a desired professional finish.
